All Around Me

I was lost
I was broken
Feeling like trash that was tossed,
No words could be spoken.

I was beat
I was cold
Left on the streets
Forgotten and old.

I was sick
I was sore
Fear hit me like a brick
As I hit hard on the floor.

Through my tears, I saw a light.
As the storm became more.
A man dressed in white
Lifted me up off of the floor.

From way up high, he heard my cries
My eyes toward him,
An army of angels surrounded the skies
And all my storms became dim.

Oh What A Powerful Name

Lord, you spoke and said "Go and preach to all of the nation."
Fill my heart O God and make it like yours.
Oh Lord, you are my firm foundation.
Oh Lord, the physician for my cures.
Oh what a powerful name it is.

You are my peace,
You are my joy.
Your love for me is something no one can destroy.
Your love for me will never cease.
Oh what a powerful name it is.

The enemy is trying to keep us apart.
Lord I seek and worship you in prayer.
Oh lord create in me a pure heart.
Thank you for loving me with all the baggage I wear.
Oh what a powerful name it is.

When you spoke all of creation came alive,
Including my soul.
I will praise you, even when you arrive.
Lord for you make me whole.
Oh what a powerful name it is.

Oh lord, thank you for your word.
Oh what a precious name I adore.
For when I cried out, I was heard.
Lord fill me up, I want more.

Imperfect

Society now a days is pressuring everyone to stay updated with what is trending today, and if you are not up to date with it well that means that you are not "perfect". Society doesn't care about what makes you happy, it's all about what makes them happy and wanting everything to be perfect. But of course the truth is... nothing and no one is perfect. You do you, don't let anyone tell you who to be.




We're all pressured to be perfect inside and out.
But the truth is that we are all broken.
Is this world what you want to be about?
The truth of this world needs to be more outspoken.

Whatever you do,
Do it for all the right reasons.
Do it simply for you,
No matter the seasons.

Embrace imperfection,
Believe in yourself.
Love your reflection.
Aim for that top shelf.

Don't get lost in these earthly desires.
Forgetting who you are.
Don't cause any fires.
Don't stray too far.

Claim your territory
Quit putting yourself on display,
Write your own story.
And be beautiful in your own way.

Glory to God

What a beautiful day it is,
For the Lord's day is his.
Whether or not the sun is out,
We will always praise the lord no doubt.
Wherever we are, let's pray,
And let us conquer each day.
Giving God the glory,
For he is the creator of our story.

LIES

This poem just came into mind, I'm not sure what it's about but you can take it in many ways.




Guilty you say-
Why don't you want me to stay?
You thought I would flee,
When you spread those lies about me.
I didn't do anything wrong.
Why don't you want us to get along?
It's like we are battling in court,
Like this is some kind of sport.
I don't understand...
Was all of this planned?
Why the hate?
Showing me off like I'm the bait.
I can't take this anymore.
Why are you waging this war?
Please stop and get some rest.
So you can end this meaningless quest.

In Honor of Christina Grimmie

Christina Grimmie was an inspiration to many and especially to me, and when I found out the news, I was devastated and I still can't believe she is gone. I decided to get my emotions out and put into wring so here it goes..

A heart like yours was true,

To me, I felt like I always knew you.

To many a blessing you were,

When all of a sudden, then came a blur.

It all came down fast like the rain,

Giving my heart the greatest pain.

On the floor, I was curled up in a ball.

I was ready to crumble and fall.

On my knees I was praying,

In my head, your songs I kept replaying.

You were now at peace,

My tears will now cease.

Forever you will live on,

As if you were never gone.

With love,

Away you flew like a white dove. 

Let it Go

It's time to let go,
It's time for my heart to say 'no'.
Time to put these memories away,
Time for me to pray.
Time to be set free,
Time to be me.

Time to move on,
Time to be away and gone.
Time to set my mind straight,
Time to celebrate.
Time to grow,
Time to glow.

Time for another chance,
Time to get up and dance.
Time to stop being out of sight,
Time to be the light.
It's time to empty my plate,
It's time to seal my fate.
